Start NowWhat changed this week
These are the three changes in Poweramp Music Player build-1031-bundle-play that stand out in the developer's update notes and on its Google Play listing this week.
- 01A major Audio Engine update
Google Play describes this build as a major Audio Engine update. The notes do not explain every adjustment, but point to changes affecting audio playback and output.
- 02USB Exclusive Driver added
The notes list a USB Exclusive Driver as part of the Audio Engine update. They do not explain setup requirements or which connected equipment supports it.
- 03Bit Perfect and DSD modes
Google Play names Bit Perfect Modes and native or DoP DSD support, listing DSD64-1024 in the update notes without further setup details.

Tips
- Check your output options
If you use an external audio device, review Poweramp’s Audio Outputs settings after installing the build. Google Play specifically mentions improvements to those settings, but does not list their exact controls or explain which devices benefit. Keep your existing choices in mind before changing anything, and consult the in-app Changelog if an option’s purpose is unclear.
- Read the in-app Changelog
The Play listing says the update has more detail in Poweramp’s in-app Changelog. Open it to review the complete notes before changing playback options, particularly if you rely on a specific output setup. The listing does not identify a menu path to the Changelog, so look through the app’s available menus rather than assuming a particular location.
- Keep playback settings deliberate
Poweramp already offers equalization, Bass and Treble controls, and other audio-processing options, according to its Play description. If you adjust them while exploring the engine changes, change one setting at a time and listen to a familiar track. The update notes do not say that existing presets or sound preferences are replaced, so avoid resetting them without a specific reason.
Menu names follow the developer's help pages and can differ slightly between versions and phones.
How we write the digest
Each week we check the Google Play listings of the apps our readers use most: the version number, the update date and the developer's What's new notes. When an app has a new version, we put the developer's update notes and the listing details together on one page, in plain words, with a link to the official Google Play listing. Google and most developers release updates in stages over several days, so a version listed here may not have reached your phone yet. Therapymetric is an independent site and is not affiliated with any developer. This page doesn't read your phone or your Google account, and nothing is installed from here.
FAQ
Is this the official list of Poweramp Music Player changes?
No. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with Poweramp Software Design (Max MP). Google Play’s app page is the authority for the official listing and its release notes. This editorial summary reflects the supplied Play data, but it is not a substitute for the listing or the in-app Changelog that Google Play’s notes reference.
Why does Google Play show Open instead of Update?
Google Play rolls builds out over several days, so a new build may not be offered to every account or device at once. If the app page shows Open, the newer build may not yet be available through that listing. Check the official Google Play page again later; the supplied notes do not give a separate rollout schedule.
Do I need a special USB device for these changes?
The update notes name a USB Exclusive Driver, but do not specify compatible phones, adapters, or audio devices. The Play description says Poweramp supports configurable audio output options, though it does not explain this new driver’s requirements. Check the in-app Changelog and the available Audio Outputs settings for guidance before changing a working setup.
