Start NowWhat changed this week
These are the three changes in Video Editor & Maker - InShot 2.231.1551 that stand out in the developer's update notes and on its Google Play listing this week.
- 01Bring sound to Audio Stickers
The notes say Audio Stickers can now come to life with sound effects. This adds an audio element to sticker-based edits, according to Google Play.
- 02Edit multiple tracks together
Google Play lists Group Edit for Tracks, letting editors work on multiple tracks at once instead of handling each separately, according to the release notes.
- 03Add a natural Hair Glow
Hair Glow is a new effect described in the notes as adding a natural shine to hair. Google Play does not detail its controls or availability.
Our call on whether to update, and the link to the official Google Play listing, are on this issue's Video Editor & Maker - InShot page.

Tips
- Preview sound before finishing
When adding an Audio Sticker, preview the edit with its sound effect before exporting or sharing. The release notes do not explain how the new sound is selected or adjusted, so check the editing controls and listen to the result in context. Keep the original project available until you are satisfied with how the sticker and audio work together.
- Group tracks with care
Try Group Edit for Tracks on a copy of a project or after saving your current work, especially if several layers need similar edits. Google Play says multiple tracks can be edited at once, but does not list which adjustments are included. Review each track afterward to confirm the timing and appearance still suit the sequence.
- Check Hair Glow in preview
Use the preview to judge Hair Glow before keeping it in a finished edit. The notes describe the effect as adding natural shine to hair, but do not specify its controls or supported media. Compare the result with the original and keep the effect subtle if it changes the look more than intended.
Menu names follow the developer's help pages and can differ slightly between versions and phones.
How we write the digest
Each week we check the Google Play listings of the apps our readers use most: the version number, the update date and the developer's What's new notes. When an app has a new version, we put the developer's update notes and the listing details together on one page, in plain words, with a link to the official Google Play listing. Google and most developers release updates in stages over several days, so a version listed here may not have reached your phone yet. Therapymetric is an independent site and is not affiliated with any developer. This page doesn't read your phone or your Google account, and nothing is installed from here.
FAQ
Is this the official list of Video Editor & Maker changes?
No. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with InShot Video Editor. Google Play's app page is the authority for the current listing and its release notes. This editorial summary paraphrases the information supplied there; check that page for the developer's wording and any changes to the listing.
Why does Google Play show Open instead of Update?
Google Play rolls builds out over several days, so an app page may show Open while a newer build is still reaching people. The listing's update date and release notes can help you check what Google Play currently presents. If the page has not changed, check again later rather than assuming the feature list has appeared for every account.
What does Group Edit for Tracks do?
According to Google Play's notes, Group Edit for Tracks lets you edit multiple tracks at once. The notes do not specify the exact controls, which track types are supported, or how changes apply to a selection. InShot's description mentions multi-layered video editing, but the Play listing does not connect that description to a particular group-edit workflow.
