TodayTix just got an update. Did yours?
Issue 1 · Oct 6–12, 2026. TodayTix’s latest build is described as behind-the-scenes work intended to keep the theatre ticketing app running smoothly, rather than a list of visible new features. Google Play rolls builds out over several days, so the latest version may not appear for everyone at once.

Start NowWhat changed this week
These are the three changes in TodayTix – Theatre Tickets 2.327.4 that stand out in the developer's update notes and on its Google Play listing this week.
- 01Maintenance aims to keep things running
Google Play says this build includes behind-the-scenes updates intended to keep TodayTix running smoothly. The note does not identify a particular fault or visible change.
- 02Show discovery is already part of the app
TodayTix’s Play description says people can explore shows and performing arts events in supported cities. That is an existing app feature, not a change announced in this build.
- 03Rush and Lottery options remain listed
The Play listing describes day-of Rush tickets and show Lotteries. These are existing ticket options in TodayTix, not newly announced additions in the current release note.
Our call on whether to update, and the link to the official Google Play listing, are on this issue's TodayTix – Theatre Tickets page.

Tips
- Compare show dates before choosing
Use TodayTix’s show listings to compare performances that fit your plans, then review the date and event details before choosing tickets. The Play description says the app covers theatre and performing arts events, but it does not promise that every show or date will be listed in every city. Check the specific listing for the information available there.
- Check Rush and Lottery details
If a show offers Rush or a Lottery, read that show’s listing for the current terms and timing before relying on the option. The app description characterizes Rush as day-of and first-come, first-served, and says Lotteries can offer access to tickets or deals. It does not state that every performance participates or guarantee an outcome.
- Use alerts for show availability
TodayTix’s Play description says users can sign up for alerts about tickets becoming available for favorite sold-out shows and reminders about Rush and Lottery deals. Look in the app for the relevant alert controls and review what you enable. Alerts are informational; the listing does not promise that tickets will remain available when you open a notification.
Menu names follow the developer's help pages and can differ slightly between versions and phones.
How we write the digest
Each week we check the Google Play listings of the apps our readers use most: the version number, the update date and the developer's What's new notes. When an app has a new version, we put the developer's update notes and the listing details together on one page, in plain words, with a link to the official Google Play listing. Google and most developers release updates in stages over several days, so a version listed here may not have reached your phone yet. Therapymetric is an independent site and is not affiliated with any developer. This page doesn't read your phone or your Google account, and nothing is installed from here.
FAQ
Is this the official list of TodayTix changes?
No. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with TodayTix, the developer. Google Play’s TodayTix app page is the authority for the release notes and listing details. The summary here restates the available Play information and distinguishes the brief maintenance note from features already described in the app listing.
Why does Google Play show Open instead of Update?
Google Play rolls builds out over several days, so an Open button can appear while a newer build is still being distributed. The listing may not offer the newer version to every account at the same time. Check the TodayTix Play page again later; the current notes do not provide a more specific rollout schedule.
How do TodayTix Rush tickets work?
The app description says Rush tickets are day-of offers, available on a first-come, first-served basis for participating performances. It does not give universal timing, quantities, or eligibility rules. Check the individual show’s listing in TodayTix for the terms shown there, and do not assume every performance offers Rush.
